Rebalance tax structure to better support those who actually need it: higher property taxes on non-primary residence homes (especially if primary residence is in another state) and hotel properties, and low-to-NO taxes for people who are barely scraping by, especially if they’re in multi-generational households. Create sustainable development plans for homeless communities where people can work-to-earn their home: community lodging & meals for those working on building small homes, then as they are completed they can be occupied by the builders; repeat. That way people get both their immediate needs (shelter & nutrition) and longer-term needs (workforce training) met in a way that helps them create their own community, literally and metaphorically.
