Pay less taxes, huge chunk comes out of our pay checks making it hard to survive. I owned my own business and unless you are honest in paying what you owe on taxes, there is no way for a small business to survive in Hawaii. Majority of residents work for the State or City or Federal government. Pay them more so they can put it back into the economy which in turn supports retailers, restaurants and other private businesses.
